DxTx Medical

Established 2019

Precision engineering starts here.

Founded in Pittsburgh in 2019, DxTx Medical designs and manufactures medical devices, including MRI receive coils and scanner interface electronics. Its eCoil product line carries forward a heritage originating at Medrad and Bayer.

That work established our foundation in RF electronics, product development, manufacturing and quality management. DxTx Semi is the semiconductor business of DxTx Medical, extending this engineering foundation into new fields.

ASIC development

Began in 2025

From electronic systems to custom chips.

Our expansion into ASIC development began in 2025 through our work with BitMaster’s Bitcoin mining chip program. The focus: custom silicon engineered for ultra-low-voltage operation and energy efficiency.

Successful tapeout · Summer 2026The ASIC program reached tapeout on TSMC’s advanced FinFET process.

The program brought experience across chip architecture, custom circuit and cell-library design, packaging, and test planning, creating a foundation for our next semiconductor projects.

Drone connectivity

Development underway · 2026

Connecting intelligence in the field.

We are developing communications algorithms for AI-enabled drones, drawing on the iLive platform for real-time video and data transmission. The work focuses on maintaining useful video as wireless bandwidth and link conditions change.

Adaptive bitrate and resolution, low-latency streaming, and embedded-platform integration connect the drone’s onboard systems with ground-station applications.

Retimer chip design

Initiated in 2026

Moving data between AI systems.

In 2026, we began work on high-speed retimer chip design for AI data-center interconnects, with a focus on 224G-class SerDes and active electrical cable (AEC) applications.

Retimers recover signal timing and regenerate data along copper links, helping servers and switches communicate reliably at high speeds.

Retimer products are in development. Final specifications and production timing will follow design and silicon validation.
